I have enjoyed the blessing of having a very large family. Larry and I were married in 1980 and have 6 children and 4 grandchildren so far.

I homeschooled our children for 17 years which meant 2 of my children had me as their homeroom teacher from kindergarten through high school graduation. Another had me through 8th grade. The younger ones were with me at home for a few years as well. I loved being a homeschool teacher but I also knew when God was calling me out of homeschooling and them into the classroom.

Larry and I are self-employed offering carpet cleaning and other floor cleaning services to the Southern Crescent area of metro Atlanta.

We are actively involved in our local church - Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA. Larry and I sing in the choir. I work with the Student Ministry.

We have a daughter that has Type 1 Diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes). We are involved with spreading awareness of this disease that is on the rise among children. We also are advocates for making our schools a safe place for Type 1 students.
